Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This project aims to upgrade infrastructure at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center to support the Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) initiative and a 2026 Current State Review (CSR). The primary goal is to install new Data Drops and Power Outlets (DDPOs).

• Installation of Data Drops and Power Outlets: Install approximately 29 CAT 6A cable drops and 50 duplex 120 Volts Alternating Current (VAC) emergency power sourced outlets.

• Cabling: All data cabling must be Category CAT 6A. Cable pulls should not exceed 300 feet. Power and transmission cables must be installed in separate raceways/conduits.

• Infrastructure Work: Includes mounting Over-Current Elements (OCEs), Tracking Boards, and wall mounts. Demolition, repair, and painting of wall sections and ceiling tiles may be required.

• Testing and Certification: All new CAT 6A cable installations must be tested and certified, with reports submitted bi-weekly to the COR.

• Compliance: Adherence to VA Standards, NEC Standards, OEHRM Site Infrastructure requirements, OIT Design Guide, and ISTS is mandatory.

• Risk Assessments: Conduct and incorporate pre-construction risk assessments (PCRA) and Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA).

• Certification reports for cable installations are due bi-weekly.

• All work must comply with VA safety and records management regulations.

• Contractor must provide weekly progress updates to the COR.

• Duration: 95 days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
