The VISN 8: Veterans Administration (VA) Sunshine Healthcare Network in Florida (hereinafter VA or Government ), which includes: Bay Pines Healthcare System, North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, Miami VA Healthcare System, Orlando VA Medical Center, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and West Palm Beach VAMC has an ongoing requirement for the delivery of whole blood and blood products provided by an active Food and Drug Administration (FDA) registered or licensed blood bank entity, community(non-hospital) blood bank nonprofit corporation, accredited by AABB (American Association of Blood Banks), The College of American Pathologists (CAP), or the Joint Commission. The Contractor shall provide products, any other blood related services, and therapeutic services to attain a blood product that will be compatible and safe for a patient s condition(s). These blood products shall be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract as stated in the Supplies/Services listing below.
