This effort is for the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA. This is not a solicitation for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this notice. Responses are due May 13, 2026.
Scope of Work
The VA seeks to upgrade 25 existing ceiling lift systems at the Bedford VAMC. Key requirements for the lifts include:
- Internal scale for maximum maneuverability and convenience.
- Hand control with a screen displaying weight, settings, and maintenance information.
- A trainer module feature for gait training in one specific room (227F-78).
- Lifting speed of 2.2 inches per second or better.
Implementation services must include:
- A dedicated project manager and detailed project timeline.
- On-site installation coordination and a training plan for go-live.
- Development of detailed structural designs and drawings for each room, compliant with VA directives (VHA Directive 2005-019, SECTION 13 05 41, H-18-8).
- Delivery of new, OEM-original equipment, parts, and accessories.
- Vendor-provided technical staff for all on-site installation services.
- Disposal of all material waste and packaging.
- Provision of operator's manuals, technical service manuals (including troubleshooting guides, diagnostic software, schematics, and parts lists).
- Comprehensive onsite training for operating clinicians covering Technical, Operational, Administrative, and Hardware/Software Troubleshooting.
Contractors must comply with VA security, privacy, safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards.
Submission Requirements
