Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of new ceiling lift systems and the removal/de-installation of existing equipment, including slings, lift devices, rails, support material, and bracing. Installation must not impact patient care. Key performance requirements for the ceiling lift systems include:
- Compliance with UL, life safety, national electric, and fire safety codes.
- High-strength extruded aluminum ceiling track, tested to ISO 10535 standards.
- Lifts, straps, and slings compliant with ISO 10535.
- Capability to pick patients up off the floor.
- Integrated patient scale with +/- 0.5% accuracy at max load.
- Ability to perform at least 21 lifts on a full battery charge.
- Motors capable of lifting at least 600 pounds.
- Maintenance and inspection for three years from final acceptance.
- Acceptance of generic replacement batteries without voiding warranties.
- Automatic recharging at any location on the rail.
- Safeguards like emergency stop buttons and tool-less emergency lowering devices.
