  • Marking Capabilities: Etching alpha-numeric, data matrix, UPC labels, and imported images on various metallic, plastic, and composite RMD materials. The system must be capable of Electro Chemical Markings (ECM), Laser Markings, and Mechanical Markings.
  • System Compatibility: Must be fully compatible with the NIHCS Censitrac tracking system, including creating barcodes, data matrix codes, and alpha-numeric characters for identification. Compatibility with VA legacy IT platforms is also required.
  • Physical Specifications: Marking field of 100mm X 100mm, accommodating parts up to 12" W X 18" L X 9" H. Includes Z-Axis Motorized and Z-Axis Base.
  • Safety Features: Integrated safety features such as access restriction, fume removal, air filtration, locking hood, safety window, protective housing, redundant safety interlocks, and an emergency stop.
  • Training & Support: On-site training for Sterile Processing Service (SPS) staff (minimum one week), software installation, activation, and verification of compatibility. Provision of all required documentation (manuals, maintenance, safety), warranty, and service support.
  • Scalability: The system should be scalable and adaptable to different etching types and future data requirements, and programmable for instrument commissioning, substitute recognition, and item disfurnishing.
