Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR 6.103-1, Soliciting from a single source for the following items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 339112. The vendor will be Skytron LLC, PO Box 888615, Grand Rapids, MI 49588.

Description of requirements:

The VA Ann Arbor Medical Service Cardiology Department needs replacement monitors for one Skytron SkyVision Ascend IP TAVR Video Integration Unit in the TAVR Lab Room E-747 that is no longer functioning (MX1890074). The repair tech will deinstall the non-functioning equipment and install the new monitor and fiber optic cabling needed to complete the installation.

The equipment we currently have in the TAVR Lab is Skytron equipment. The VA Ann Arbor Medical Service Cardiology Department needs replacement monitors for one Skytron SkyVision Ascend IP TAVR Video Integration Unit in the TAVR Lab Room E-747 that is no longer functioning (MX1890074). Skytron brand booms and lights were previously installed in the TAVR Lab with system data routing location in designated central space. Equipment must be installed and deinstalled by an authorized installer for Skytron Ascend IP equipment. The video integration system controls the current Skytron equipment such as surgical and wall displays, surgical lights, in-light surgical cameras. The system allows multiple configurations of the monitors inputs in the TAVR Lab. This replacement monitor system is the only equipment that can integrate into the other Skytron equipment currently in use in the TAVR lab.

A firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026.
