Quick Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research via a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified firms for providing Hemosphere Alta All-in-One Advanced or equal Physiologic Monitoring Systems at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX. The VA anticipates awarding a one-time, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. Responses are due May 25, 2026.

Purpose & Scope

This Request for Information (RFI) aims to enhance competition and identify interested, qualified, and capable Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) firms. All firms are encouraged to respond if no SDVOSBs or VOSBs possess the necessary capacity. The market research results will determine the set-aside requirement for a potential future solicitation.

The requirement involves the replacement of 41 existing Edwards LifeSciences Hemospheres and ClearSight modules with Alta or equal Hemosphere Physiologic Monitoring Systems. Any proposed "equal" products must be compatible with existing hemodynamic monitoring disposable supplies, including Edwards Swan Gantz Catheters, Acumen IQ invasive pressure monitoring system, ClearSight non-invasive BP modules and cuffs, and ForeSight cerebral oximetry system. Additionally, the vendor must support ClearSight and integrate with the existing EMR system, Innovian.

Respondents are asked to provide:

  • A positive statement of interest.
  • Their firm's small business category, including SDVOSB/VOSB verification status if applicable.
  • A capability statement detailing in-house capacity to accomplish the scope.
  • Firm name, address, SAM UEI, CAGE number, and primary point of contact (including phone and email).
  • If applicable, the contract number for any active contracts for this service.
