The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, is seeking information regarding the capability to provide a CENSIMARK Laser Marking System to the C.W. "Bill" Young VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL. This equipment is needed to replace the current Electrochemical etching system, which is ineffective on certain materials like titanium and aluminum (e.g., DaVinci RMD). The laser system will enable the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) to comply with Joint Commission findings regarding tape usage and meet FDA regulations for Unique Device Identification (UDI), improving medical device tracking, recall management, and supply chain processes.

• Laser Marking System with Air Filtration (fume extraction, mobile, HEPA filter, variable speed blower, filter monitoring).

• Fiber Laser (Ytterbium Fiber, min 20W output) capable of marking titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, plastics; compatible with Censitrac; red dot focal system; motorized Z-Axis; USB connection; Class 1 enclosure; fast marking galvanometer; capable of etching small dental instruments (3/8" thickness); fume extraction port; meets FDA standards; emergency stop; laser emission indicator; laser safe viewing window; chamber capable of holding large instrumentation (e.g., Book Walter system); produces GS1-compliant 2D DataMatrix codes readable by Censitrac.

• Installation includes one week of training.

• Warranty: 12 months included.

This is a Notice of Intent to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price Single Award Contract for Censis Fiber Laser Marking Equipment for the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System. The equipment is intended to replace outdated electrochemical etching systems and must be compatible with existing Censis Technologies software.

• All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted.

• Supporting evidence must demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement.

• If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the sole source acquisition.
