Scope of Requirement

The VA requires Orthopedic rotary handpieces with dual triggers capable of drilling, reaming, sawing, and burring, delivering sufficient torque for heavy-duty reaming. Key salient characteristics include:

  • Handpiece: Dual trigger, twist-lock collet ring for quick attachment changes, hermetically sealed components.
  • Attachments: Dual trigger wire collet (0.6-1.8mm), dual trigger pin collet (2.0-3.2mm), small AO drill, ¼” drill chuck with key, Hudson modified trinkle drill/reamer, ¼” reamer chuck with key, micro sagittal saw.
  • Power System: Large and small 13.2V sterilizable lithium-ion battery packs. A battery charger capable of charging four batteries simultaneously, with specific dimensions (Width ≤16”, Height ≤4”, Depth ≤6.5”, Weight ≤4 lbs.), and clear charging level confirmation.
  • Performance: Handpiece mass ≤710 gm (without battery), reaming torque ≥153 in-lbs, drill speed ≥1500 RPM.
  • Sterilization: IPX6, IPX8, IPX9 protection ratings for cleaning and sterilization, including container sterilization.
