Statement of Work (SOW)

To replace the current pathology band saws at the Washington DC VA Medical Center due to the vendor going out of business and parts no longer being available. The new model aims to provide users with better precision and enhanced safety features.

Procurement includes all necessary parts, materials, labor, software/licenses, resources, and training to implement and utilize the equipment. Items must be covered by manufacturer's warranty and procured through an approved distribution channel. Distributors and resellers must be able to document this upon request.

• Installation/Implementation: To be completed by certified personnel within the period of performance. Contractors are responsible for PPE and preventing damage to government property.

• Training: Contractor responsible for providing training to clinical staff/users, scheduled in advance with the on-site POC. Education professionals must be certified, and curriculum must cover operations, set-up, user maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting.

• Inspection and Acceptance: Joint inspection with on-site POC upon completion. Deficiencies must be addressed and re-inspected.
