Amendment / Modification

Additionally, 15 Bariatric (1000 pound) lift motors will be provided for Malcom Randall, and 1 for Sergeant Boots VA Clinic, replacing existing motors.

• XY Traverse Systems: The VA confirms that no rooms require 10x10 traverse systems or XY gantry systems.

• Ceiling Construction: Installation areas have a concrete deck with a suspended ceiling tile, approximately 3 feet from the finished ceiling to the structural deck above. No structural reinforcement drawings or ceiling load ratings are available.

This solicitation is for the procurement of Patient Ceiling Lifts for the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville and the Sergeant Ernest I. "Boots" Thomas VA Clinic in Tallahassee. The lifts are intended for use in Acute Care areas to safely transport and lift patients.

• A total of 251 patient ceiling lifts are required: 235 Standard Lifts and 16 Bariatric Lifts.

• Lifts must be compatible with existing Handicare tracks and anchors. 20 additional patient ceiling lifts require new tracks and anchors.

• Bariatric lifts must have a maximum workload capability of 1000 lbs; standard lifts must handle up to 625 lbs.

• Specific technical requirements include IP rating (IP22), lifting range (up to 96"), sound levels, service life (22,500 cycles or 10 years), pneumatic hand control, powered lithium-ion battery with quick charge, and emergency stop/lowering functions.
