Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide a remote medication dispensing system (RDS) to securely store, dispense urgent and emergent medications, and manage inventory for patients at the Lake Charles CBOC facility, which lacks on-site pharmacy services.

• Provide one (1) large cabinet Remote Dispensing System (RDS).

• Provide installation and training for the RDS.

• Provide shipping for the RDS.

• Offer 24/7 toll-free technical support, including troubleshooting and operational guidance.

• Provide all necessary labor, parts, and out-of-pocket expenses for installation, maintenance, and repair, except as otherwise specified.

• Develop and present a detailed work plan and briefing to the VA project team.

• The system must interface with the Vista Outpatient Pharmacy Package (OPAI) and CPRS.

• It must dispense prepackaged medications based on verified outpatient orders using barcode validation.

• It must comply with Joint Commission Medication Management standards and internal safety procedures.

• The system must operate on Windows 10.

• It must be capable of storing and tracking refrigerated items.

• The system must have secure internal storage for at least 90 line items with a total capacity of at least 900 packages.

• It must store unit-of-use medications in original packaging and accommodate various package sizes and shapes.

• It must provide reports for inventory, expiration, removal, and dispensing from a central location.

Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)

This Sources Sought notice is issued by the National Contracting Office No. 16 for market research purposes to determine contractor interest and capabilities for providing a Medication Remote Dispensing System (RDS). The government is seeking information to assess potential small business set-aside opportunities and anticipates a firm-fixed-price contract.
