Statement of Work (SOW)

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for the one-time procurement (buyout) of leased BD CareFusion Pyxis Medstation ES units and associated components currently installed at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS).

• Preventive Maintenance: Provide scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and services during normal business hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday), excluding federal holidays. Coordination with COR is required.

• Remedial Services and Emergency Repair: Provide unscheduled services and emergency repairs only when directed by the Contracting Officer. Reimbursement will be based on firm-fixed price hourly rates plus actual costs for materials and parts, potentially requiring a separate purchase order. Services outside the support plan will be billed at current time and material rates.

• Information Security: Adherence to VA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix C regarding information and information system security, including background investigations, data protection, and encryption requirements (FIPS 140-2 validated).

• Data Breach: Liability for liquidated damages in the event of a data breach or privacy incident involving sensitive personal information (SPI).

• Equipment Turn-in: Bio-Medical devices containing VA sensitive information must not be returned to the vendor without removing or replacing the media drive containing VA data, or VA will reimburse for media replacement cost.
