Scope of Work
VAPHI requires one tabletop ultrasonic unit for cleaning complex surgical instruments. Key technical specifications include:
- Functionality: Digital timer with Normal, Fast, and Ultrasonic only settings; two types of suction distals for dual hook-up.

- Design: Six in-line distals and filters; stainless steel wash tank and removable lid; included basket for loose instruments.
- Dimensions & Weight: External dimensions must be 33.5" W x 15.1" D x 16.7" H or smaller; chamber must be 30" W x 8" D x 6" H or larger to accommodate Da Vinci instruments. Weight must be 90 lbs or less (dry).
- Utilities: Standard 110/120 VAC power; no separate plumbing connections required (fill via sink/drain or bottles); no additional ventilation.
- Accessories: Must include a stainless steel utility table with locking casters and guard rails. All accessory components, base consumables, cables, and hoses required for immediate function must be included.
- Support: Minimum one-year warranty for all parts, labor, and shipping. One-year support and preventative maintenance are required.
Delivery & Installation
- Delivery Location: VA Philadelphia Medical Center, Attn: Biomed, 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
- Coordination: Contractor must verify shipment with the Point of Contact (POC) prior to delivery and provide tracking information. Deliveries must be coordinated in advance for acceptance during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F, excluding Federal Holidays).
- Installation: Installation services are included and must be performed by an OEM Field Service certified installer. Equipment testing by an authorized technician is required before release to the VA.
