Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the Network Contracting Office 15, is conducting a Sources Sought for market research to identify qualified businesses capable of providing a Symphonie Aqua Compact System with CA800 COM components for the Kansas City VA Health Care System (KCVAMC). This system is required to enhance the precision and efficiency of prosthetic socket impressions. Responses are due by June 6, 2026.
Purpose & Scope
The KCVAMC Prosthetics Department seeks to acquire the Symphonie Aqua Compact System to replace traditional casting methods that lead to extended fabrication timelines and reduced patient comfort. The new system will produce anatomically accurate, full weight-bearing impressions, aiming to significantly reduce remakes, improve clinical outcomes, and streamline prosthetic fabrication workflow. The scope includes the purchase, delivery, installation, setup, verification of system function, and onsite user training for clinical and technical prosthetics staff.
Technical Requirements
The system must be capable of generating plaster impressions under full weight-bearing load, utilizing a specialized, distally fixed membrane to capture uniform anatomical detail. It should use patient weight and limb girth for accurate pressure distribution and support mobile use with an equalizing tank. The primary goal is the production of anatomically precise limb impressions that reduce corrective adjustments.
