Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Dental Service aims to modernize its facilities by acquiring and integrating advanced dental technology, specifically 3D scanners, 3D printers, and a CEREC milling unit, to enhance the precision, efficiency, and quality of dental prosthetics and restorative treatments for veterans.

• Procurement and Installation: Acquisition of Dentsply Sirona 3D scanners, 3D printers, and a CEREC milling unit (including Primescan, Primemill, Speedfire oven, suction unit, and lab scanner).

• Training: Comprehensive on-site training for VA Dental Service staff on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the new equipment.

• Integration: Full integration of the new equipment into daily operations and optimization of workflow processes.

• Infrastructure: VA is responsible for ensuring the installation location is adequately equipped with appropriate electrical outlets and internet access.

• Equipment must be installed and functioning correctly.

• Staff must be trained to proficiency.

• Workflow processes are to be optimized.

• Start Date: Installation commences 90 days after procurement. Training is scheduled based on clinic availability.

• Place of Performance: Specific VA Medical Center locations will be identified (example provided: LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105).

• Vendor: Dentsply Sirona is the specified supplier responsible for installation and training.

• Certifications/Qualifications: The service provider must possess in-depth knowledge of 3D printing technology, troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with associated software and hardware.

• Security: Compliance with VA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix C regarding information security, access, and incident investigation is required.

Sources Sought Notice

This notice is for market research purposes to identify potential sources for providing Cerec Milling Units, 3D scanners, and printers for the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center (VAMC). The government intends to award a one-time, firm-fixed-price, one-year contract. This is not a solicitation, and responses are not offers.
