This document is a Justification for Brand Name Awards, in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(a), for a procurement over the Micro-Purchase Threshold but not exceeding the SAT. The Salem VA Medical Center requires the procurement and installation of an MRXperion – MR Injection System for its Radiology department. This system is a syringe-based fluid delivery system for contrast media and saline during MR applications.

This solicitation is for the procurement of one (1) Medrad MRXperion MR Injection System and related products/services for the Radiology department at the Salem VA Medical Center. The acquisition is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

• Item 0001: MRXperion - Medrad MRXperion MR Injection System and Related Products/Services.

• Item 0002: Installation of the MRXperion MR Injection System.

• Item 0003: Penetration panel kit for the MRXperion MR Injection System.

• The system must be FDA approved.

• Required features include automatic plunger advance/retract, injection pressure graph, automatic filling/priming, worklist connectivity, onboard eGFR and weight-based dosing, protocol storage, interface with PACS/RIS, and export of DICOM secondary capture to PACS.

• Vendor must provide certification of MR safety training for Zone 4/Magnet Room.

• Applications and training will be provided by the vendor.

• No gray market or counterfeit items will be accepted.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price.

• Period of Performance: TBD.

This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of the Salem VA Medical Center. The purpose is to conduct market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing the Brand Name MRXperion MR Injector System and related products/services. This research will help NCO 6 determine if the acquisition can be competitively awarded on a Brand Name basis.
