Quick Summary
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Terminal Boards for seismic digitizer recorders. This requirement is not set-aside for small businesses and will be awarded based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method. Responses are due by May 1, 2026, 3:00 PM PST.
Purpose & Scope
This RFQ seeks 4-channel Terminal Strip Interface Boards (Kinemetrics 111915-01-PL) to support the Earthquake Science Center's National Strong Motion Network (NSMN). These boards are essential analog adaptors, routing sensor lines to a terminal strip and providing +/- 12V differential power to older seismic sensors. They are critical for deploying 70 upgraded recording systems and must be compatible with Kinemetrics Multi-Channel Digitizers (Granite, Basalt, and Obsidian). The boards must convert +12V from the digitizer to +/- 12V differential power and have no computing capacity. Only new equipment is accepted; no grey market or refurbished products. All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
