A Request for Quote (RFQ) and firm-fixed-priced contract are contemplated.

• The government intends to procure an Enhanced Heavy Equipment portion of the Fire Program Request Asset, specifically a CAT model 6611 MOTOR GRADER (AWD-6WD).

• The equipment must meet forestry industry required safety specifications set by OSHA.

• Research indicates that CAT is the only vendor that meets all specified requirements.

• The equipment must comply with OSHA standards for heavy equipment used on forests or fire lines, including stringent guidelines for cabs (rollover protective structures - ROPS, falling object protective structures - FOPS), and increased guarding for engine compartments.
