727 AMS Caster Deck Extension

Statement of Work (SOW)

To extend the existing caster deck at Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, Air Freight Terminal, Bldg. 599, to increase capacity for signature service cargo and to allow for a security cage installation.

• Provide all necessary design, site management, transportation, equipment, power tools, materials, labor, loading/unloading, and supervision for the caster deck extension.

• The extension will be positioned to the right side of the existing deck.

• The extension will consist of 5 standard caster deck sections (2,600 mm x 3,315 mm) and three bespoke sections, totaling approximately 134.97m2 (1,452.80 sq ft).

• Each standard section requires 8 pallet stops.

• The existing forklift tine recess plate will be moved, and new recesses will be added to the walkway side.

• Caster decks must have an edge protective barrier to secure pallets from rolling off.

• Safe working load up to 6,800 kg.

• Specific dimensions and materials for caster decks, protective edges, and barriers are detailed.

• Location: Air Freight Terminal, Bldg. 599, Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall.

• Delivery: Bldg. 599, with overnight storage possible with prior coordination.

• Security: Contractors must sign in/out daily and be aware of OPSEC.

• Safety: Prompt reporting of mishaps, familiarization with safety policies, provision of Risk Assessment Measures (RAMs) and Method Statements, and a safety log are required.

• Access: Installation access is limited to personnel with valid passes; escorts are required.

• Power: Single phase 240 voltage and mains power within 2 meters of work areas will be available.

• Environmental: Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of all packing materials.
