PURPOSE: This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought announcement only.
This is not a solicitation announcement. The NCO 15 Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP), Contracting office is conducting market research only to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and is issuing this sources sought notice for a Mail Opener and Extractor with a Scanner in support of Mail by Meds (MbM) at Cheyenne, WY and Murfreesboro, TN.
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT:
The Department of the VA is looking for an industrial Mail Opener/Extractor and a Scanner to scan hard copy pharmacy prescriptions and upload the documents onto a VA utilized digital workflow platform (i.e. InterSystems, HealthShare) storage device.
The scanner must be able to scan and sort documents into multiple sort bins.
The equipment must be stand alone and have the ability to raise and lower for the operator.
The equipment must be able to process a minimum of 10,000 documents per day within an 8-hour shift.
The scanner device must be able to scan into TIF and JPEG formats.
Equipment must come with all peripherals (i.e. mouse, keyboards, touch-screen monitor(s), UPS battery back-up).
The equipment must include maintenance service included for the first year with the ability to extend maintenance service in one-year increments.
Training for each site location must be provided for sufficient number of operators of the equipment (up to 15 per site).
Equipment must be able to operate on a Windows 11, 64-bit operating system that is compatible with VA OIT requirements.
The equipment must be delivered and installed at each location.
Offers are not being solicited at this time. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. Vendors are required to address the following questions to be considered a viable source for future needs.
