Justification for Sole Source
Market research, including a Sources Sought notice (W15QKN-26-X-1AUF) and four industry responses, identified Knight’s Armament Company's M110 as the only product capable of meeting the Performance Specification MIL-PRF-32316 w/Amendment 1. The government determined that alternative sources would lead to unacceptable delays and substantial duplication of costs, which would not be recovered through competition, especially given the infrequent requirement for this weapon system.
Submission Information
This notice is a presolicitation and does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP). However, any responsible source believing they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation. Submissions must be received by the closing date and time. The government reserves the right to decide whether to compete this action based on responses. Contact: Jon Glassic at jon.m.glassic.civ@army.mil.
