Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS), cloud-based Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) system as a Software as a Service (SaaS) within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) environment. The system aims to enhance healthcare outcomes for Veterans by transforming complex medical data into actionable insights, improving accuracy, personalizing treatment, and optimizing hospital efficiency.

• Deploy and configure an Agent AI system capable of retrospective data/chart analysis, grant discovery and proposal generation, and clinical study execution.

• Integrate AI-powered tools and potentially wearable devices (e.g., Apple Watch, Fitbit).

• Provide comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing support to investigators and clinicians.

• Ensure the system operates within a VA Authority to Operate (ATO) approved system and meets FedRAMP requirements.

• Project Management: Contractor Project Management Plan (CPMP), Monthly Progress Reports, Privacy & HIPAA Training certificates, Technical Kickoff Meeting participation.

• Agent AI Implementation: COTS cloud-based Agent AI system deployment, configuration, and integration. This includes analytics for up to 20 investigators/clinicians, with a focus on 99% uptime and 95% EHR data export accuracy.

• Grant Discovery and Proposal Generation: AI tools to assist investigators in identifying and applying for research funding, including a Specific Aims helper, reference manager, and writing assistants. Deliverable: Completed Grant Submission.

• Clinical Study Execution: AI-enabled platform for conducting observational or interventional studies for up to 5 studies, including integration with wearable devices. Deliverable: Clinical Study Report.
