NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE.

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only One Source. The government has determined that only one responsible source is available, and no other source will satisfy agency requirements due to the unique circumstances of this requirement.

Select Vendor:
Marco Technologies, LLC
4510 Heathwood Road
Saint Cloud, MN 56301

The select contractor previously completed a telephone system upgrade at Pine Ridge School in Pine Ridge, SD and continued ongoing telephone services. Meraki MX75 Router will be used to route voice data to the Meraki MS150-48FP-4X 48 port switch. Switch will then route the voice data to VOIP (Voice Over IP) phones that will be installed in the high school and administrative offices on campus to complete the ongoing project for the VOIP phone system. The select contractor will continue to supply digital phone service to the school. The anticipated period of performance will be 30-days from date of award. The anticipated cost is $15,605.27. The school’s phone system is not working in some areas which creates an urgent situation. Local telephone company does not have the necessary IT hardware to provide VOIP services. The government does not anticipate a significant cost saving through competition, only processing delays. A sole source award is in the best interest of the government.

A solicitation will not be made available, and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334210, Telephone Apparatus Manufacturing and a Product Code of 7G20 IT & Telecom – Network: Analog Voice Products
