Scope of Work

Materials: Aluminum container shells, sealing with MIL-S-81733 or equivalent, and electrodeposited alkaline Zinc-Nickel Alloy finish (ASTM B 841 Class 1, Type B, Grade 3) instead of Cadmium plating.
Welding: Adherence to AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, or MIL-W-22248 Class 4 standards, with specific filler materials for aluminum alloys. Detailed controls for welding process, materials, and cleaning (MIL-C-5541, acid deoxidizing).
Identification: Containers must be affixed with a Unique Identification (UID) marking and a serial number following the convention "contract#_no_dashes-000X".
Packaging: MIL-STD 2073 packaging applies, including desiccant (MIL-D-3464, Type II) per cubic foot of interior volume.

Quality Assurance & First Article Test (FAT)

A First Article Test (FAT) is required. Offerors must deliver one unit of CAGE 80020, Part Number GCSRSD125 (latest revision), within 120 calendar days of contract award. The estimated government testing cost is $12,000, which will be added to offerors' prices if testing is required. The FAT includes dimensional tests, compliance with drawing GCSRSD125, and a 100% production leak test (drop test and pneumatic pressure). Waiver of FAT requirements may be granted for offerors who have previously furnished identical production articles accepted by the Government or OEM within three years, using the same production location, facilities, processes, and approved subcontractors. Offerors requesting a waiver must submit two prices: one with FAT and one without.
