Purpose & Scope
The VA requires an uninterrupted supply of custom corrugated shipping boxes. These boxes must be constructed with "C flute," single-wall corrugated cardboard, have a minimum 32 ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating or greater, and a minimum burst strength of 200 pounds per square inch. The maximum content weight capacity is 65 pounds. Specific internal dimensions are required for 39 CLINs (refer to the forthcoming solicitation for the full list). Boxes must also meet EPA Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines (CPG) for recovered fiber content: 40% postconsumer fiber and 40% total recovered fiber.
Contract Details
The anticipated contract type is a single firm fixed-price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ). The period of performance will include one (1) base year with four (4) option years. Award will be based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, considering both price and past performance.
