Purpose & Scope
This notice is for market research and ISBEE planning purposes only; it is not a solicitation, and no award will be made from this notice. BIA-OJS requires vendors to furnish a wide range of nutritious food and beverage items for an estimated 220 inmates daily, covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Food categories include perishables (meats, frozen foods, breads, fresh produce, dairy), non-perishables (canned goods, pastas, condiments), beverages, and other staples.
Delivery Requirements
Vendors must be capable of delivering to all five specified detention centers in District I:
- Standing Rock Adult & Juvenile Detention, Fort Yates, ND
- Turtle Mountain Detention Center, Belcourt, ND
- Fort Totten Detention Center, Fort Totten, ND
- Lower Brule Detention Center, Lower Brule, SD
- Yankton Detention Center, Wagner, SD
Requested Information
Interested vendors (ISBEE, IEE, small, or large businesses) should submit a capability statement (maximum 10 pages) addressing:
- Company information (name, address, POC, CAGE, UEI)
- Business size/status under NAICS 722310 (or recommended alternative)
- Capabilities tailored to the requirement
- Geographic service coverage, confirming ability to deliver to all listed locations
- Past performance for similar food delivery or institutional food supply contracts
- Logistics capabilities (distribution centers, truck fleet, cold chain compliance, emergency delivery processes)
- Ability to meet daily, weekly, and emergency delivery requirements
