The anticipated contract will require the supply and delivery of Grade A milk and dairy products, including:
- Milk: 1% (90,000 units), Whole (20,000 units), Chocolate (6,500 units) – all in 1/2 pint cartons.
- Cottage Cheese: Creamed (75 tubs, 5 lb).
- Beverages: Fruit Punch (50 units), Orange Punch (50 units) – both 1 gallon. All products must comply with FDA, USDA, New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA), and local health department requirements. Deliveries are expected twice weekly (typically Monday and Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) to the VA New Mexico Healthcare System, 1501 San Pedro SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Specific requirements include packaging standards (plastic gallon, cardboard half-pint), date labeling, temperature control (e.g., chilled milk 35°F-41°F, frozen 0°F or below), and minimum shelf-life (fluid milk: 10 days, cottage cheese: 4-7 days).
Anticipated Contract Details
The resulting contract is expected to be a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDIQ).
