Source Approval Requirements
Because this item is flight-critical and technical data is limited, the Government requires source approval prior to award. Only sources previously approved by the Government have been solicited. Prospective new sources must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package as detailed in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures. Note that the approval process is lengthy, and award will not be delayed for new source evaluations if fleet support needs are urgent.
Evaluation & Submission
While this is a notice of intent to sole source, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if under an existing BOA). The Government will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received. Award will be made only if the offeror meets qualification requirements at the time of award per FAR 52.209-1.
