Quick Summary

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Environmental Management (EM) is conducting a Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) for acquisition planning at the Idaho Site post Fiscal Year (FY) 2015. This RFI seeks industry input on capabilities, innovative approaches, and potential contracting alternatives for environmental management activities. Capability statements are due by January 3, 2014.

Scope of Work

This RFI focuses on potential upcoming EM procurements at the Idaho Site, incorporating remaining EM work scope following the completion of current Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) and Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP) contracts. Major Elements of Scope include, but are not limited to:

  • Spent Nuclear Fuel
  • Solid Waste Management
  • Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D)
  • Environmental Activities
  • Site Infrastructure (EM Areas only)
  • Calcine Disposition Project

DOE is also seeking feedback on potential set-aside possibilities for small businesses, 8(a), EDWOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB, or SDVOSB.
