Purpose

Scope of Work

The Government seeks companies capable of removing and disposing of one (1) 5,000-gallon JP-8 AST, which has been empty and out of service for over 10 years, at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The scope, as detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), includes:

  • Designing and conducting the removal and disposal of the AST.
  • Obtaining all necessary federal, state, and local permits.
  • Removing and disposing of the AST, its concrete pad, and the associated fuel system.
  • Capping off all connection points at the pad level.
  • Coordinating disposal with the 126th Air Refueling Wing and 375th Air Mobility Wing.
  • Contractors must account for the lack of restrooms and power near the tank location.
