Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify Acoustic Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Detection and Localization systems for dismounted soldiers. This effort aims to inform future requirements and potentially develop capabilities for detecting Group 1 (<20 lbs.) and Group 2 (21-55 lbs.) UAS. Responses are due by February 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
The desired system must passively detect UAS signatures using acoustics to determine location, bearing, and classification. It should notify a Soldier via their smart device and display the UAS location via Tactical Assault Kit (TAK). Minimum requirements include passive acoustic detection, near real-time functionality, and operation in varied environments and weather conditions. Preferred capabilities include UAS Localization, UAS Classification, Nett Warrior integration, TAK integration, on-the-move detection, low power consumption, embedded detection algorithms, and low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP).
