Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Statement of Work outlines the requirements for the "GAOA MT Bitterroot: Developed Rec Site Def Mtce & Accessibility Improvements Fire rings" project. The primary objective is to obtain and deliver prefabricated fire rings to various recreation sites within the Bitterroot National Forest.

• Acquisition of prefabricated fire rings.

• Transportation of fire rings to identified locations.

• Unloading of materials from transportation vehicles.

• Fire Ring Specifications:

  • Must meet specifications in the salient characteristics document and drawings from the solicitation.
  • Overall diameter: 30-34 inches.
  • Material: 3/16 inch thick steel.
  • Finish: High temperature, heat resistant, non-toxic black enamel.
  • Features: Formed (not welded) 1-inch flanged lip, ten 1-inch diameter draft holes around the perimeter.

• Cooking Grate Specifications:

  • Constructed from 5/8 inch diameter A36 steel bars for the perimeter.
  • Constructed from ½ inch A36 steel bars for the handle.
  • Constructed from ½ inch A36 steel bars for the grate bars.
  • Grate attached via a hinge, allowing it to rest outside the fire ring when not in use.
  • Grate will have spring grips on both handles.

• Tasks: Fabricate fire rings, inspect for performance and quality, ship to specified addresses, and unload upon delivery.

• Materials and supplies are to be delivered to specified locations by the date specified, no later than the contract period performance date.

• Total Quantity: 70 fire rings.

• Delivery Location 1: 35 fire rings to Stevensville Ranger Station, 88 Main St, Stevensville, MT 59870.

  • Attachment: Hinged to two formed eyelets (5/8-inch to 3 1/2 inch dia. A-36 steel bar).
  • Swivel: Swings approximately 250-300 degrees on 5/8 inch diameter steel bars to clear the fire ring.
  • Non-cooking position: Rests perpendicular to the ground with spring grips just above ground height.
  • Grips: Two substantially constructed spring grips for public use, made of at least 1/8-inch x 1/2-inch flat bar.
• Fill: Designed to be filled with aggregate (not supplied) to a depth of 14-3/8 inches from the bottom.
• Anchor Pins: Supplied with three 1/2 to 1 inch diameter anchor pins for concrete embedment.
