Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy (NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT MECH) is soliciting for ADAPTER,STRAIGHT,PI components. This requirement is for a Qualified Product List (QPL) item, designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material for crucial shipboard systems, where failure could result in serious injury, loss of life, or loss of vital systems. This is a "DO" rated order under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) and is issued pursuant to Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (EAF). Proposals are due May 8, 2026.
Scope of Work
The solicitation seeks adapters that meet stringent requirements, primarily MIL-F-24787, and are qualified for use with MIL-H-24135/2 hoses. Key aspects include:
- Material Specifications: Detailed requirements for Swivel Nut, Socket, Hose Nipple, and Socket (Body) Alternative Material, including QQ-N-281, QQ-N-286, ASTM-A494, and MIL-C-24723.
- Testing & Certification: Mandatory certifications for Ultrasonic Inspection, Annealing, Age Hardening, and Non-Destructive Tests. Specific laboratories are designated for Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests of QQ-N-286.

- Traceability & Control: Rigorous traceability from material to certification test reports is essential for Level I/SUBSAFE systems. Configuration control, including waivers, deviations, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), must be managed through the Electronic Contractor Data Submission (ECDS) system.
- Delivery: Final material delivery is required on or before 365 days after the contract's effective date, with certification data submitted 20 days prior to scheduled delivery.
