Scope of Work
The selected contractor will provide adjunct faculty to support the USNCC by:
- Delivering asynchronous instruction for Naval Studies Courses and, occasionally, Navalized General Education courses.
- Developing lesson plans from provided syllabi and administering/grading student assessments.
- Submitting assignment and final grades, and preparing end-of-course memorandums.
- Supplementing core course materials (10-15%) with current events or relevant past experiences.
- Facilitating threaded discussions, guiding student projects, and advising on writing and presentations.
Key Performance Standards include maintaining professional proficiency, achieving student evaluation scores of 80% or greater, responding to student inquiries within 24 hours (weekdays), providing feedback on written assignments within 96 business hours, and submitting final grades within five business days of course end.
Personnel & Qualifications
- Faculty must be Academically Qualified (AQ) or Professionally Qualified (PQ) per the USNCC Faculty Handbook.
- A Project Manager (PM) with a master's degree and relevant experience is required.
- All contractor personnel must have a favorably completed NACI.
- Faculty must possess a computer, reliable internet access, corporate email, and experience with online Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Compliance with USNCC policies, DOD, DON, and US Government regulations is mandatory.
