Questions & Answers / Clarifications

• Glass Specifications: Original cab glass specifications are provided in the attached "Original Installation 08800" document. As-Built Cab glass replacement drawings "ADS-ATCT-A03-S1-C" and "ADS-ATCT-A03-S2-B" are also attached for reference.
• Fogged Glass Location: Fogging is occurring on Cab Insulated Glass Units 2, 3, 4, and 10.
• Crane and Boom Lift Parking: Crane and boom lifts must be kept out of the tower's line-of-sight. North and South of the tower are considered within the line-of-sight. Designated contractor vehicle parking for heavy equipment is available overnight, as shown in an attached diagram. Other parking spots are reserved for facility operations. Contractors must verify turning radii for heavy equipment.
• Communication: During working hours, contractors will be in contact with the Resident Engineer. They will not be directly equipped with two-way radios for communication with AT Controllers.
• Crane Height Notification: The contractor must file the FAA Obstruction Evaluation / Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA) per Specifications 01 00 00 and 01 10 00 for crane operations exceeding the tower height by at least 20 ft.
• Tinting: If new cab glass warranty allows, a 2" to 3" wide strip of tint should be installed on the cab glass edge to overlap with existing cab shades, matching existing conditions.
