Next steps

Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.

The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), VLF Enterprise Program Office (EPO), will host Industry Days on 14-15 January 2026. The purpose of these classified sessions is to provide industry partners with detailed technical information and solicit feedback regarding requirements for a modernized VLF receiver capability across multiple Department of Defense (DoD) platforms. This is in anticipation of a solicitation to design, develop, test, certify and produce a modern VLF receiver for multiple DoD systems.
Attendance is highly encouraged for organizations possessing expertise in VLF receiver technology, digital signal processing, embedded systems, and related fields. Participants should be prepared to engage in substantive technical discussions at the Secret level.
The VLF EPO will present a comprehensive overview of the program, encompassing its objectives, technical challenges, anticipated schedule, desired outcomes, and the structure of the anticipated contract. A draft agenda is attached for your review; please note that it is subject to change.
As part of this Industry Day event, our intent is to schedule one-hour blocks on 15 January for one-on-one sessions with industry partners. These individual sessions will allow for feedback, in depth requirements information, or questions. If interested in scheduling a one-hour one-on-one session for 15 January, please notify the POC listed and provide requested time, persons attending, and intent of the session, to include any questions you would like discussed.
All presentations and discussions during this event will be classified at the Secret level. Accordingly, all attendees must possess a valid Secret clearance and be eligible for access to program-specific information.
We look forward to your participation and valuable contributions to this critical modernization effort
