Scope of Work
This opportunity involves the supply of road base material with two primary options:
- Base Bid: Supply 1000 cubic yards (cy) of Type I road base and 500 cy of screened Type II road base material. Materials must be delivered to the project site on Brown's Lake Road, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, from a commercial source.
- Alternate Bid #1: Supply 1000 cy of Type I road base and 500 cy of screened Type II road base material from a commercial site within 8 miles of the Rabbit Run Road and Funny River Road intersection. For this option, materials will be transported by US Fish & Wildlife employees using 10 cy dump trucks, and the supplier must provide loading services with a wheeled bucket loader (minimum 3 cy bucket).
Material Specifications: All materials must consist of hard, durable particles, blended with fine sand, clay, stone dust, or similar binding fillers. They must be uniform and comply with Kenai Peninsula Borough Road Standards for Type I & II Roads regarding gradation and soil constants, free from vegetable matter, lumps, or excessive clay/foreign substances.
Delivery: Anticipated between August 1, 2026, and August 31, 2026. For the Base Bid, daily delivery is required between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with a minimum of 180 cy/day and a maximum of 250 cy/day.
