Sources Sought / Market Research

This document is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) issued by the United States Air Force (430th SCMS) to conduct market research for the procurement of GENERATOR, ALTERNATI parts (NSN: 6115-01-224-5848HY, P/N: 28B58-9B). The government is seeking to identify potential sources and determine if the effort can be competitive or set aside for small businesses. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded based on this notice.

• Potential sources must be capable of manufacturing the specified item, including component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping.

• Responsibilities may also include supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production, managing long-lead time parts, addressing diminishing manufacturing sources, and shipping serviceable assets.

• Potential sources may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs.

• This is a new spares buy and does not have a repair requirement.

• The contract type, period of performance, and estimated value are to be determined.

• Unit prices will be established at the time of contract award.

• Interested sources must select "ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS" to participate.

• Responses are requested by 6/9/26.

• The government is interested in all business sizes, including Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a)s, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses.

• The government is interested in identifying potential sources for a small business set-aside determination.

• Potential sources wishing to be qualified must complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package.

• Qualification Requirements (QRs) and Engineering Data List (EDL), if applicable, are attached.

• Technical data may be provided on an EDL; otherwise, sources must independently acquire it.

• Requests for Engineering Drawings should be submitted via email to ocalc.lgldo.public@us.af.mil.

• SAR package submissions are electronic via DoD SAFE.

No funds are available for this effort.
