Scope of Requirement
The requirement is for "BRAND NAME OR EQUAL" products that meet specific salient characteristics for an Expeditionary Barrier System. These alternatives must:
- Be designed and manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-32188 Expeditionary Barrier System.
- Feature integrated, pre-assembled, accordion-style cells with continuous mechanical pin connections for rapid deployment.
- Be compatible and interoperable with existing HESCO barrier system infrastructure.
- Be capable of containing compacted sand in 6-ft.x6-ft. and 8-ft.x8-ft. depth and width, with heights from 7-ft. to 9-ft.
- The containment system for sand must NOT be concrete, heavy metal plate, heavy timbers, or other containers with high penetration strengths.
- The containment system must NOT be wood or any other material posing a fire hazard.
Respondents should provide descriptive literature, manufacturer details (OEM, part number), warranty information, and a courtesy quote with applicable contract vehicle details.
