- Tread Surface: Must be complete to prevent dirt collection; tread covers are acceptable, no custom fabrication needed. A continuous surface without holes to collect dirt is preferred.
- Nosing: Required lips/nosings are 1-1/8" and run the full length of the tread (45 ½" and 42 ½"). Nosing will be incorporated into the tread/cover.
- Dimensions: 4" and 9" refer to tread width. Plate thickness is ¼".
- Material/Finish: Aluminum finish is acceptable. An anti-slip surface is required.
- Screws: Minimum ¼" diameter, 1-3/4" to 2" long. CLIN 0003 requires flat head, 1-3/4" long. Approved equivalent masonry screws are acceptable for Tapcon.
- Adhesive: Approved alternatives to LOCTITE PL Polyurethane Brown are acceptable for CLIN 0004.
- Other: Photoluminescent markings are not required. No brand name preference. Partial quotes are not accepted.
- Bolt Pattern: A bolt pattern approximating the example is preferred, with bolts not in the centerline of the tread.
