Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines the requirements for providing paramedic, emergency medical technician (EMT), and ambulance services for Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) and the 377 MDG Campus.

• Provide 24/7/365 emergency medical response and patient transport services.

• Services include paramedic, EMT, and ambulance services within the local community, with emergent patients transported to the New Mexico Veteran Affairs Health Care Services (NMVAHCS) Emergency Department (ED), unless excluded (trauma, pediatrics, obstetrics, or patient choice).

• Contractor is responsible for billing patients who choose transport to hospitals other than the VA ED.

• Participation in KAFB air shows is required as requested.

• Performance must adhere to standards set by The Joint Commission, AFI 44-119, DOT, NIMT, and New Mexico Emergency Medical System Bureau.

• Response times for emergencies are to be met within 12 minutes, 90% of the time, calculated from initial dispatch.

• Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness training is mandatory for all employees.

• A Quality Control (QC) program must be developed and implemented.

Questions & Answers / Clarifications
