• Fire Safety: Sprinkler heads must be dropped into existing and new racks per NFPA 13. Sheet A0 has been updated to reflect this. Final determination on fire pump size will be calculated by the Contractor.

• Utilities: The contractor will demolish and install the gas supply, including the regulator and meter. Existing communications conduit will be abandoned in place; a new handhole and 4" duct will be run from the new handhole to MH 160. New fiber optic and copper will terminate inside building B1159, with OSP Fiber requiring a new 1RU FOPP. A new sewer service line is to be installed to the manhole.
• Electrical: Existing NEC equipment will be demolished, and new NEC equipment will be furnished and installed by the Contractor. The existing electrical panel (200Amp, 120/208V, 3 phase, 4 wire, 42 circuits) may be reused if proven in good condition and the extension method is NEC compliant; otherwise, a new feed is required. Existing data drops will be demolished, and new ones installed.
• Finishes & Fixtures: Paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers will be installed by DPW. "F" fixtures in the toilet room are exhaust fans, not light fixtures. Two new exterior "F" lights are specified.
• Site Logistics: The tenant will move out during construction. No operational blackout periods are anticipated, but the COR must be notified 72 hours in advance for any utility shutdown.
• Contractual: Project references are not required for evaluation. Vendors must be registered as an SBA and on SAM.gov. The Buy-American Act and liquidated damages are included. Substitutions are acceptable if they are of equal or greater quality and different attributes are clearly documented.
• Equipment: The dock leveler requirement has been revised to a 45,000 lb. capacity mechanical dock leveler. The existing air compressor will be removed by DPW prior to project start. An expansion joint is intended, not a railing, in front of the new garage door.
