Statement of Work (SOW)

To contract the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to provide engineering inspection services for Training Support Vessel Squadron (TSVRON) vessels, ensuring they maintain certifications and are safe to operate.

• Perform required inspections and surveys as mandated by current ABS rules and regulations.

• Attend vessels for ABS certification inspections (approx. 8 x 2-hour visits per quarter, per vessel).

• Oversee selected maintenance actions to ensure they meet ABS certification standards.

• Attend vessels for continuous maintenance availability (CMAV) (1 time per week).

• Attend vessels for major Dry Dock events (daily meetings 2-3 times per week, plus final inspection).

• Attend vessels for CASREPS (initial assessment, 2-3 times per week until resolved, plus final inspection).

• Ensure only FULLY QUALIFIED ABS certified Surveyors are employed.

• Maintain an accurate database of all TSV vessel inspections and certifications.

• Report deficient conditions and discrepancies to ship Masters, Chief Engineers, and CSG-4 personnel.

• Provide oversight, inspection, and assistance during ship industrial availabilities.

• Contract length: Twelve (12) months from the designated start date.

• Vessels covered: TSV-1 PREVAIL, TSV-3 HUNTER, TSV-4 NARRAGANSETT, and TSV-5 VINDICATOR, homeported at JEB Little Creek.

• Monthly update for each vessel's certification status.
