Quick Summary
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), under the Department of Justice, is soliciting proposals for 9mm Luger Ammunition through a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (RFP 15F06726R0000146). This opportunity aims to establish up to three Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for Service, Training, and Frangible ammunition categories. Proposals and samples are due July 14, 2026.
Scope of Work
The FBI seeks to procure 9mm Luger ammunition, including 9mm Luger+P, conforming to SAAMI standards. Key requirements include ammunition being "Made in America" (components may be international) and explicitly prohibiting reloaded ammunition. Specific projectile weights, designs, and materials are detailed for each category (Service, Training, Frangible). Stringent performance requirements cover accuracy, terminal performance, reliability, and environmental resistance, alongside mandatory in-house quality control and reporting. The ammunition will support law enforcement operations and training activities for DOJ agencies.
