Requirements & Specifications
The contractor must adhere to specific technical and quality requirements. Pricing for quotations is valid for 60 days after the closing date unless otherwise specified.
- Quality Assurance: The contractor must maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government, with records available for review.
- Packaging: Packaging requirements follow MIL-PRF-23199, with specific clarification for MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags under cleanliness controls (MIL-STD-767, MIL-STD-2041, Refueling Clean, or Reactor Plant Clean). MIL-STD 2073 packaging also applies. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required.
- Certifications: A Certificate of Compliance (per DI-MISC-81356) and a Cure Date Certificate (per DI-MISC-81318) are required at the time of material delivery.
- Precedence: In case of conflict, Section "C" takes precedence over Section "D" of the contract/purchase order. For documentation, amendments to the purchase order/contract take highest precedence.
- Mercury Exclusion: Mercury or mercury-containing compounds shall not be intentionally added to or come into direct contact with hardware or supplies.
Evaluation
Evaluation will be conducted in accordance with the "EVALUATION-COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS AND COMMERCIAL SERVICES" clause (DEV 2026-O0028)(FEB 2026).
