Scope of Work
The requirement is for annual preventive maintenance (PM) and certification for a total of twenty-two (22) pieces of laboratory equipment located at the Naval Health Research Center. Services include:
- Biological Safety Cabinets (Class II, Type A2) (Qty: 18): Testing and certification in accordance with NSF/ANSI 49 standards. Services must include downflow velocity profiling, inflow velocity measurement, HEPA filter integrity testing, smoke pattern testing, site installation assessment, and alarm function verification. Decontamination of the work area is also required.
- Chemical Fume Hood (Qty: 1): Testing and certification in accordance with OSHA 1910.1450 and CAL OSHA Title 8 5154.1. Services must include face velocity measurement, smoke visualization testing, and alarm function verification.
- PCR Cabinets / Clean Benches (Qty: 3): Testing and certification to ensure ISO 5 (Class 100) air quality conditions are met. Services must include HEPA filter integrity testing, non-viable particle counting, and UV light function verification.
Upon completion, the vendor must provide detailed Certification Reports for each piece of equipment, documenting tests performed, standards used, results, and any adjustments. Physical Certification/Testing Labels indicating the date of testing/certification and the next scheduled date must be affixed to each item.
