This document provides specifications for furnishing prefabricated modular ADA-compliant boardwalk components (materials only) for the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin. The components must be compatible with the existing Wickcraft Company connecting system and meet or exceed stated requirements. Installation will be performed by National Park Service personnel.

• Quantity: 375 each prefabricated modular boardwalk panels (4 feet wide x 6 feet long).

• Decking: 2x6 pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine (SYP), meeting AWPA UC4B for ground-contact exposure, supporting a minimum uniform live load of 100 psf. Fastened from below with no exposed fasteners.

• Toe Rails: 2x4 pressure-treated SYP ADA-compliant toe rails on all required edges.

• Structural Frame: Fabricated from ASTM A500 structural steel with 1/4-inch ASTM A36 steel connection plates, designed for a minimum 100 psf live load plus dead load.

• Connections: Must utilize Posi-Loc® and Posi-Trus® systems or approved equal, fully interchangeable with existing systems. Removable pin-hinge assemblies required.

• Support Legs: Fabricated from ASTM A500 structural steel pipe, adjustable for field leveling, secured with 3/8-inch set bolts and 2-1/4-inch self-tapping screws.

• Galvanizing: Entire frame assembly hot-dip galvanized (HDG) per ASTM A123/A153 (minimum 3.9 mils zinc coating), with hand-rasped edges.

• Hardware: Stainless steel suitable for exterior and marine-influenced environments.

• Compatibility: New components must visually and functionally match existing NPS boardwalk systems installed between 2015 and 2025.

• Contract Type: Materials only procurement.

• Period of Performance: Delivery within 60 calendar days after contract award.

• Submittals: Manufacturer's technical data sheets, detailed installation requirements, system limitations, shop drawings, and structural calculations are required for review and approval.

• Approved Equal: For "or equal" products, a detailed side-by-side comparison demonstrating equivalency or superiority is required.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item procurement for ADA Boardwalk Supplies for Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin. The National Park Service is requesting quotes for these supplies.

• Questions regarding the solicitation will be accepted until 12:00 PM EST on February 24, 2026.

• Offerors must submit a price schedule and contractor core data, including company name, Cage Code/UEI, and POC information.

• Alternate quotes/proposals will not be accepted.
