Statement of Work (SOW)

To provide portable toilet rental and servicing for the Mainland Ice Cave operations at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, anticipating high visitor numbers (potentially exceeding 100,000 visitors).

• Supply up to 12 portable toilets, including two ADA accessible units, each equipped with a hand sanitizer dispenser.

• Deliver units to the Meyers Beach parking area and the east end of Mawikwe Rd, as directed by park staff.

• Provide regular servicing, including pumping, refilling of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and general cleaning.

• Service units in the evening to prevent freezing and minimize disruption to visitor traffic.

• Respond to service requests within one hour of a call from park staff.

• Servicing frequency will be at least once daily, with potential for twice daily servicing depending on usage.

• The contractor must develop and maintain a quality program to ensure services meet commonly accepted commercial practices and implement procedures to identify and prevent defective services.

• Period of Performance: Weather Permitting, February 15, 2026, to March 15, 2026.

• Location: Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Meyers Beach parking area and the east end of Mawikwe Rd (Meyers Beach is 16 miles Northeast of Bayfield, WI).

• Units must be serviced in the evening.

• Response time for service requests is within one hour.

• The need for this service is weather dependent and may not be required if there is insufficient ice on the lake.
