Quick Summary
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA), in partnership with the Program Management Office Stryker Brigade Combat Team (PM SBCT), has issued a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest (AoI) 001. This initiative seeks innovative, PFAS-Free Tire Fire Suppression Kit (TSFK) Extinguishers for the Stryker Family of Vehicles. The objective is to identify and procure a modern, effective, and environmentally friendly replacement that maximizes existing commercial technologies and meets or exceeds current operational performance standards. Responses are due by June 03, 2026, 5:00 PM ET.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for a PFAS-Free TSFK Extinguisher. Proposed solutions must address both "Core Features" (mandatory) and "Flexible Features" (innovative, cost-effective). Core features include specific electrical and mechanical interface requirements, fill requirements using Aqueous PFAS-free foam premix Ansul LVS NF-40, performance metrics, and environmental/resilience standards. Flexible features allow for proposals on aspects such as dimensions, weight, mechanical interface materials, cylinder port, gauge guard, refillability, agent volume, and activation time.

Submission & Evaluation
Interested parties must submit written solution briefs via email to Taylor Ferguson at Taylor.D.Ferguson10.civ@army.mil. The subject line must be "TSFK Extinguisher Written Solution Brief". Responses will be evaluated based on criteria outlined in the base CSO (W912CH-26-S-0010). Merit-based solutions may be invited to Phase 2 (Presentation/Pitch), potentially leading to Requests for Commercial Solutions Proposals (CSP). Companies must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
Additional Notes
This AoI is not an authorization to begin performance and does not obligate the Government for any costs incurred by companies in developing a response. A follow-on production award is possible for successful prototypes. Attachments include a TSFK Extinguisher Drawing and a Flexible Requirement Validation statement.
